A picture of the Reverend Liz Hawkes

(well, perhaps it can...)

Liz was born in 1956, a vicar’s daughter, so she has spent most of her life in Vicarages in various parts of England - Kent, Oxfordshire, and Cumbria. She trained as an Organist at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and then taught for 5 years at Lathallan Preparatory School in Scotland. She trained for Ministry at Lincoln Theological College, where she met Ronald. She was ordained Deacon in Coventry in 1988 but not Priested for 9 years until serving in Oundle. Her Ministry has always been as an NSM in the same parishes as Ronald, but she has also had various Diocesan posts including Area Co-ordinator for Adult Education and Training, Sub Warden of Readers, and Bishop's Advisor for Liturgy.

She is a Minor Canon of Canterbury Cathedral and also an honorary Chaplain.

Her interests include Music, Reading, Chocolate, her sons and the dogs.
